Overview

Making something that has never been done is a rare privilege, and this project was one of that moments. Clarita was the first animated tv show in Chile. Nobody really knew how to do it. I took the challenge of being the Animation Director for the project, at that time, without professional experience in the field. I had to use a lot of intuition to accomplish the huge task to direct a whole department, and happily things worked fine. I learned a lot.

Clarita told stories about a twelve year old girl wondering about existence issues. Characters were animated in Flash, backgrounds painted in watercolor. We produced twenty four chapters of thirty minutes each for two seasons.

Clarita was awarded Second Prize on the Prix Jeunesse Iberoamerican in 2005 and was finalist on the Prix Jeunesse International (Munich) in 2006
